As most of you know, im getting married at the end of this month. My fiance is in the airforce. the reason we're getting married so early is because hes being moved to germany in july. and as much as i love him, none of this was part of my life plan.
my plan was to go to school, get my teaching degree, fall in love, get married, settled and live the soccer mom 2.5 kids white fence with a lab puppy on the inside kind of life. as we all know, plans change. and im happy with the direction my life is taking me. i really am. the only thing im worried about is my career future. ive wanted to be a teacher since i was in middle school. I'm really good with kids and i love teaching and helping and inspiring. i only worry that teaching isnt the most portable job. being a military wife requires me to move at least every three years. can i really establish my career as a teacher doing that? or would picking up and starting over at different schools every few years be too much of a strain on trying to establish myself as a teacher. im just not sure what to do here. do i stay with what ive always felt id really love to do, or do i change my focus and find a more transferable dime a dozen job that requires only a general degree? i dont want to fit into the stereotype of the uneducated military wife that works as a checker at the BX or commissary. and i know most military wives are stuck in that category because they have foregone their own careers to be able to follow their spouse where their work takes them. i just dont know if i can do that.
i dont know. anyone have any comments?

quotes entry
So I'm kind of stuck when it comes to this entry, seeing as our oh so awesome bookstore has failed to keep the required book in stock and i have not yet started to read it.so, my plan for today is, to find a quote that i like in general, reflect on it, and then when i finally do get the book, come back to this assignment.
one of my most recent favorite people to quote is Einstein. he has...had..such a way with words as to be able to convey very profound ideas and thoughts in such a simple and sometimes, blunt way. i make it a point to look up one of his quote every couple of days and just think about it. the one i came across this morning was “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.” I really like this quote, because its a very good description of how i try to live my life. human beings are forever changing creatures. everyday we come up with new and exciting ideas, inventions, thoughts, problems, solutions, and so on. this quote is telling us to never stop learning, never stop using that big lumpy looking muscle in our heads called our brain. the only way we can continue to grow intellectually is to learn as much as we can as often as we can. Otherwise, how else are we going to come up with life and world changing revelations? The people that came up with the cure for cancers, the people who are developing greener ways of living or better fuel sources, the people that invented computers, they all are or were able to accomplish these things because they never stopped learning, exploring, and researching. and the second part of the quote, saying "and cease only at death" is an important point. one could be 92 years old on their death bed and spark an idea that helps lead to the cure for aids. you really never know where your ideas can take off to, and you formulate these ideas by constantly trying to learn as much as you can!

All about me!
My name is Sarah Siobhan Boyle. my middle name is pronounced shuh-vawn. its irish, and translates to jane. i have a few nick names between me and my friends or from my family, but none of which are either appropriate, or that i'd like to be called by my peers, haha.
im going to school for early child hood education. my plan was to transfer out of swic to the Louisiana state university of shreve port and keep on with my education there. plans change however and the new plan is...i'm getting married in a few months to my boyfriend larry. he's in the airforce and he's PCSing(permanent change of station) to germany in july. im going to finish out the summer semester here and head out there to be with him. ill find a college there to continue on my education in.
i really enjoy writing. but im not so confident in my abilities. i lack structure and organization...kinda like in my everyday life! i prefer writing about subjects that interest me, or that involve my opinion. i hate doing boring research papers on subjects that i dont care about or understand.
currently im working three jobs. i work full time at jack in te box. i work part time at schnucks. and i babysit like 20 hours/week. on top of school full time, im a very busy girl to say the least. i hate my job at jack in the box. alot of people working there are stupid, gossipers, or lazy. i cant stand people not using their brains and doing only enough work to get them thru the day. i hate the rude, indecisive customers. i hate going home smelling like taco grease. and i hate standing in the drive thru window when its about 4.5 degrees outside.
im currently living with my dad while im in school. i have three dogs, a german Rottweiler, a chocolate lab puppy, and a beagle basset hound mix. i have a big fat floppy eared rabbit named george, and if you take into account the mess my sisters make, i guess you could consider them pets too.
three words about me?lazy...caring...and ever changing. ever changing is my favorite out of the three. im always changing everything... my look, my opinions, my thoughts, ideas, plans, likes, dislikes, everything. im always growing and from day to day im never quite the same person.
all in all im just a really nice, interesting person. i like to have fun hang out and get to know new people. i work way to much and dont have much time for a social life so school is the closest i get right now.
and there you go. just a little about me.
